First use with the Hella Gutmann Tablet

When starting the device for the first time and after every software update, you need to confirm the general terms and conditions (GTC) of the Hella Gutmann Solutions GmbH. Otherwise, certain device functions will be unavailable.

Proceed as follows to take the mega macs X into operation for the first time with the Hella Gutmann Tablet:

In this video, you will learn how to connect the mega macs X to different display devices. You can watch the video here:

  1. Switch on the mega macs X.
  2. Switch on the Hella Gutmann Tablet.
  3. Wait until the Wi-Fi indicator at the mega macs X is permanently green.
  5. The HGS setup on the Hella Gutmann Tablet will start automatically and guides you through the initial setup.

  6. NOTICE

    The HGS setup changes the languages every 3 seconds.

  7. Select the language.
  8. Select the country.
  9. Scan the QR code on the housing of the mega macs X.
  11. Connection to the mega macs X will be established if the QR code is registered.
  12. The SDI setup will start automatically in the next step to activate the mega macs X.
  13. Select the Wi-Fi network (of the workshop).
  14. Regard the window with information and instructions.
  15. The LED progress bar flashes during connection setup.
  16. Once the Wi-Fi connection is established, the message Wi-Fi connection has been successfully established is displayed.
  17. Select >OK<.
  18. Select >Continue<.
  19. Please enter the activation code and select >Continue<.

    The activation code is going to be sent by e-mail in advance.

  21. Confirm the successful activation of the mega macs X with >Continue<.
  22. Enter the company data and confirm with >Continue<.
  23. Add a printer.
  24. Confirm your selection with >Continue<.
  25. Call up the SDI diagnostic interface with .

    The following cases require a prior license activation to be able to use requested functions of the mega macs X:

    - Purchased device (cash purchase)

    - Flexible leasing

    If you need to activate licenses, please contact your sales partner.

    Should you wish to take another mega macs X into operation you can call up the HGS setup again with in the App mega macs X [Setup].

    The HGS setup on the Hella Gutmann Tablet will start automatically and guides you through the initial setup.

  1. After having completed the installation process you can start the mega macs X through the shortcut on the start screen .
