Safety Precautions for the HG-VCI S 20

To avoid incorrect handling and resulting injury to the user or destruction of the HG-VCI S 20, observe the following:

• Do not touch the HG-VCI S 20 during the communication with the diagnostic tool (observe a minimum distance of 20 cm).
• Do not expose the HG-VCI S 20 to direct sunlight over an extended period of time.
• Make sure that HG-VCI S 20 does not come in contact with hot components.
• Make sure that the HG-VCI S 20 does not come in contact with rotating parts.
• Regularly check the connecting cables/accessories for damage. Risk of irreparable damage to the HG-VCI S 20 due to short circuit.
• Use the HG-VCI S 20 only in accordance with these instructions.
• Make sure that the HG-VCI S 20 does not come in contact with fluids like water, oil or gasoline. The HG-VCI S 20 is not watertight.
• Protect the HG-VCI S 20 from shocks and falls.
• Do not open the HG-VCI S 20. The HG-VCI S 20 may only be opened by a technician authorized by Hella Gutmann. If the protective seal is damaged or unauthorized interventions are carried out on the device, the guarantee and warranty will be void.
• If the HG-VCI S 20 malfunctions, immediately contact Hella Gutmann or a Hella Gutmann trading partner.
