Performing HG-VCI PC Diagnostics

This diagnostics is used to test the functionality of Bluetooth® connection for defects to determine data losses.

Proceed as follows to perform HG-VCI PC diagnostics:

  1. Insert the Bluetooth® adapter into the USB port of the PC.
  2. Select Settings > Test functions.

    Pulling off of the HG-VCI PC when actuating the clutch

    Risk of injury or material damages

    Proceed as follows before startup:

    1. Apply the parking brake.

    2. No gear is engaged.

    3. Regard the window with information and instructions.

    Danger of short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the HG-VCI PC

    Danger of destruction of automotive electronics

    Switch off ignition before connecting the HG-VCI PC to the vehicle.

  5. Connect the HG-VCI PC to the vehicle's diagnostic connection.
  6. Both LEDs of the HG-VCI PC flash.
  7. The HG-VCI PC is ready for operation.
  8. Start VCI diagnostics (Bluetooth) with .
  9. The Wireless diagnostics window appears. The Bluetooth® function is being tested.
  1. VCI diagnostics is completed successfully if 0 is displayed under Defective protocols and Diagnostics complete is displayed under Status.
