Proceed as follows to be able to use the macsRemote:
- Make sure that the VCI cable is connected to macsRemote.
- Possibly use a 10-Torx screwdriver (not included in the delivery contents) for that.
- Connect macsRemote with Wi-Fi. For this connect the VCI plug of the macsRemote with the diagnostic connector of the vehicle and proceed as follows:
CAUTION
Short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the VCI
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the VCI to the vehicle.
NOTICE
Switch on the vehicle ignition after having connected the VCI to the vehicle. Communication is impossible without ignition switched on.
NOTICE
After having connected the VCI the orange function LED lights up permanently after a few seconds. This indicates that the macsRemote hardware is ready for operation.
The macsRemote Wi-Fi module is online if the green function LED top right flashes as well. Now you can establish a network connection.
- Go to Wi-Fi settings of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, search for the Wi-Fi "connectorxxxx" and establish the connection.
- Use the browser of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to open connector.help and connect the macsRemote to the requested network.
NOTICE
The green LED is flashing fast now. This indicates that macsRemote tries to establish a connection to the selected Wi-Fi network.
If the green function LED flashes faster, macsRemote is connected to a Wi-Fi network and searches for a connection to the HGS server.
- If the green function LED is permanently on, macsRemote is connected to the HGS server and ready for operation.
- After having connected the macsRemote with the vehicle, use the browser of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to call up https://macsremote.obd.help and enter the registration data.
- Select the requested service in the menu and do the subsequent steps.
