Positioning the CSC-Tool Digital at the Right Distance, Centered and Parallel
Proceed as follows to place the CSC-Tool Digital (2023) at the right distance, centered and parallel (referred to the rear axle) in front of the vehicle:
- Connect the diagnostic device to the vehicle (see user manual of diagnostic device).
- Select >Diagnostics< in the main menu.
- Select the system to be calibrated under >Basic settings<.
- Position the CSC-Tool Digital (2023) in front of the vehicle.
- Read the correct distance in the diagnostic device.
NOTICE
Regard the different reference marks depending on the individual manufacturer. These marks are indicated in the diagnostic device and need to be selected in the app accordingly.
The wheel clamp "Distance" is not required for the distance measurement from the vehicle front.
- Position the CSC-Tool Digital (2023) at the distance indicated in the diagnostic device.
- Position the CSC-Tool Digital (2023) by moving it to the side in a way that the left and right scale of the cross member show the identical value.
- By axially turning the CSC-Tool Digital (2023), place it in a way that the left and right scale of the wheel clamp SE/wheel clamp module WA show the same values.
NOTICE
Pay attention not to change the distance to the vehicle when positioning the CSC-Tool Digital (2023).
Do not cross the laser beam during the positioning so that the projection is not disturbed.
- with wheel clamp "Distance" (distance measurement from wheel center)
- without wheel clamp "Distance" (distance measurement from vehicle front)
- Now the CSC-Tool Digital (2023) is placed at the right distance, centered and parallel (referred to the rear axle) in front of the vehicle.
